Saying goodbye to the last dish of three courses. Hello 2015!!! The first month of the year (January) is all about cleansing the body from all that Christmas delight. We know that sugar is bad for us but it's the holidays we're gonna have it anyway! Who really wants to miss out on all the bad good stuff? Now the hoildays are gone i am now facing bad skin and horrid ance. I must confess I have ance prone skin and all ance prone skin beings know that sugar is bad. Back to the good ole days eating natural sugars and healthier fats. What are your plans?
Over the holidays we normally eat like we're blind (expression) cadbury's , hershey's, Toblerone, Milky Way, Jaffa Cakes, Roses, qualities treat, celebrations etc. as if there is no tomorrow. Although some say (Live for today!).......
I am planning to have my first dessert on February 14th and a glass of wine with the hubs. Why so long? Valentine's Day I consider special. Do you?
With my special date night ahead, in the meanwhile my body will be getting loads of water, fresh fruits and veggies. Pertaining to my days, its filled with orders from my son and honestly, i am his robot until he is fast asleep, I get straight into meditation mode with an hour of yoga.
With that said, it feels fantastic being back on schedule with a healthy lifestyle. Not saying I don't miss pouring a glass of white wine, prosecco, baileys, and my good ole Jamaican Appleton Rum, kick my feet up and enjoy a lovely evening with the hubs. Thankfully he is on the journey with me.
As the days get colder and the worst of the winter to come, I will stock up on loads of fruits and eliminate peanuts, crisps etc.
I am currently off the baking, bye bye cheesecake, chocolate muffins................
Perfect way to start the New Year!!
