Oliver Duncan is an Irish Designer from Donegal, who studied Textile at the North West College in Derry. His designs are handcrafted with a modern twist that has major edge. Oliver's technique for making pattern is called Macrame which is a type of weaving and then completed on a Body form which totally transform garment construction.
Having had the opportunity to meet this great talent i am inspired by him not giving up on what he believed in. Oliver has shown his collection in London Fashion Week which was received better than he thought it would, he is also the illustrator and costume designer on the television series call "Game Of Thrones" for the past three years and i was so excited to be in a room with him. He shared all his experience about being apart of a production that is so known and loved by thousands of people around the world.
Oliver has shown us his four secret techniques and steps to Macrame and i was thrilled to have done something like that from the man himself, which was definitely a pleasure and will never be forgotten. So, for that reason it was fair enough to promise him that we will not go for an interview and try to take his job on "Game Of Thrones".
This experience thought me not to let go of what i believe in and how to make it work, which is a lot of dedication and hard work. Its been awhile since i have been to a fashion session and i had the best time.
I am already planning on making my own Scarf for winter and i am pretty excited!
